There are two main competitors that provide satellite TV services. This is great news for the consumer because they are constantly fighting for your business; unlike cable who seemed to be on their own for a while, and started to increase fees and has terrible customer service (I speak from experience). Dish Network has been competing intensely with DirecTV, and offers a larger channel selection. For the past few years, these companies have constantly tried to out do one another with offers of free things, which benefits us, the consumer immensely.
